On Thursday, January 15th, at approximately 7:45 PM, the PVVFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the Taconic State Parkway. Upon arrival, crews found three vehicles involved off to the side of the roadway. Traffic moved slowly, as the guardrail sustained damage and was partially obstructing the roadway. All vehicles required towing, and occupants were evaluated on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation.
Once the scene was cleared, DOT remained on scene to make the necessary repairs to the guardrail to prevent any potential additional accidents.
All members and apparatus returned safely to their respective stations without further incident.
