On Thursday, January 9, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Sunset Hill Road. Responding units found a single vehicle that had struck a telephone pole and continued traveling before coming to a stop in the vicinity of the Putnam Valley Market. The driver was evaluated at the scene and transported by Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance for further medical assessment.
