| At approximately 12:15AM Monday, September 1 the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in Lake Peekskill.
Upon arrival, a working fire at that location was confirmed and responding firefighters began immediately to work to extinguish the growing fire. Due to their rapid response and coordinated attack, they were able to quickly contain and extinguish the main body of the fire and then continued to work on isolated “hot spots” and overhaul operations.
Mutual aid assistance was provided by surrounding entities and at approx. 4:30AM all units were back in service without and incident or injury to either the occupants or the first responders.
The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department would like to express their gratitude to the Continental Village, Mahopac Falls, Garrison and Lake Mohegan Fire Departments, Lake Mohegan EMS, the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team and Hazmat Team and for the hard work and assistance. |
