On Saturday, March 20th, Putnam Valley responded to Peekskill Hollow Road for a reported brush fire behind a residence. Upon arrival, the fire had made it's way up the hill and along the backside as well. There were two dwellings in the area that were not impacted, as the department and mutual aid companies were able to create the fire line and drive the fire away from the homes.

Fire was brought under control in approximately 2+ hours, all members returned to station 2 for clean up and place the trucks back in service.

Thank you to all who came out to assist and work the scene, including our mutual aid companies, Kent and Mahopac Falls.
