Vehicle Fire on TSP

On Friday - June 28th, at approximately 5:00pm during the evening rush hour, The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Northbound travel lanes of the Taconic State Parkway mile marker 29 for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival Chief 24-1-1 confirmed a working vehicle fire with Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services 911 center. Members arrived shortly after and began to extinguish the fire, the driver got out uninjured but unfortunately the same can’t be said for the van.
