Putnam Valley Fire Responds to Vehicle Fire

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, around 2pm the Putnam Valley Vol. Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motorcycle fire on Oscawana Lake Road In the vicinity of Church Road. The Putnam County Sheriff's Department was first on scene and notified Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services 911 Center of a working car fire. One of the responding deputies had a fire extinguisher located in his patrol vehicle and was able to extinguish most of the fire. Upon arrival Firefighters insured the vehicle was completely extinguished and our Fire Police provided traffic safety as Oscawana Lake Road had to be closed during the incident until the vehicle was safely removed.
