Interior Fire Training: today the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department conducted their Interior Firefighter Training at the Putnam County Fire Training Center. This is an annual training drill which is mandatory for all firefighters that will are going to enter burning structures or engage in involved vehicle fires. This training covers the main tactical skills and knowledge of fire fighting including search and rescue, hose line advancement, fire extinguishing, and water management,and incident command.
