Last night members of the the PVVFD FAST Team, (Firefighter Assist and Search Team) conducted a trainer drill for high angle rescue operations. In last evenings drill, members simulated a victim fallen into a deep ravine / ditch whereby a rescuer is lower to the victim to assess injury and “package” the victim to be extricated and transported for medical treatment. In this area, the PVVFD and other Departments get many such calls, especially during hiking season in our beautiful parks. The drill was a great opportunity to continue to develop learning and hands on skills
