On Friday - 3/8, a little after 1pm, the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported car fire on the Taconic State Parkway, south bound,in the vicinity of Route 301. Upon arrival, Chief 24-1-1 observed a fully involved fire and notified the responding crew. Once members arrived on scene they worked quickly to extinguish the burning vehicle. Units operating on scene were 24-1-1, 24-1-3 and 24-2-1 with a full crew.
