Last Friday evening The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department participated in the Ossining Vol. Fire Department's Annual Parade. This event is one of the largest parades in the area and we won trophies for Best Appearing Chief's Car, Best Appearing Rescue Truck and Best Non Regulation Uniform! This was a great way to follow up from our three trophy win last week in Brewster and also finish the 2018 Parade season.
As the officer responsible for department parade events, I would like to personally thank all the members, officers, and deputy chiefs for all the work they put in to contribute to our success; not only those who came to march, but more so to those who spent long hours working behind the scene getting our Department "parade ready"! As a Fire Department, our first and foremost responsibility is to serve and protect our community. The long standing tradition of uniformed parades is our opportunity to share and demonstrate our pride and dedication with our fellow Emergency Services brothers and sisters, our own families and of course our community.
Thank you for the honor of working with you. |
