The Town of Putnam Valley recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the most recent graduates of the NYS Firefighter Basic Training Certification. This course spanned over four months and provides new firefighters with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties in Emergency Services. The curriculum tests both academic as well a physical abilities and many recruits that enroll do not complete the entire course. Congratulations to Firefighters Dave Pawlina, Lois Rizzi and Thomas Sawyer and thank you for all your hard work!
