Firefighters at the Putnam Valley Fire Department completed the Apparatus Operations - Pump Operator" training course. This course is part of the NYS Firefighter Training Curriculum. Students in this program are taught the skills and knowledge necessary to operate the pumping equipment on the Fire Apparatus. This is a necessary and critical aspect of firefighting as it teaches the skill necessary to provide water to the firefighters actually fighting a fire.
