On Monday, July 31st, the PVVFD received a call for a motor vehicle accident on Oscawana Lake Road. Upon arrival, it was found to be electric power wires down on Oscawana and Church, caused when a large container truck accidentally struck a utility pole. It appears the container caught the overhead wires while it was being offloaded, which brought down two pole tops and left wires in the road.

The Oscawana and Church intersection was closed for some time while NYSEG made the repairs.
