Fire Ravages GAP Warehouse

On Monday, August 29 at approx. 11PM a large fire broke out on the second floor of the GAP Warehouse, a 990,000 square foot facility located off I-84 in Fishkill, NY. Local Firefighters began an aggressive interior attack then continued a defensive exterior battle. The Putnam Valley Fire Department , along with firefighters from Duchess, Orange and Putnam counties battled the blaze which was mostly contained by 3am with firefighters still handling hot-spots into 7am this morning. Thankfully, all employees were safely evacuated and only a minor injury reported to one firefighter.
