On Wednesday - January 27th - the FASTeam members were put through their paces during a "search and rescue" drill. The building used for the drill was filled with smoke, using the fog machine. This is done to simulate the dark, smokey conditions a firefighter would experience if they had to enter into a structure in search of a downed firefighter or civilian.

Overall, the drill was very successful with lots of valuable information provided with hands on practice. As Fast Team Leader Frank Rush and Deputy Chief Charlie Eberhart mentioned to the group, the PVFD FAST Team is highly regarded as the county's only certified FAST Team and these training drills help all stay on top of their current skills and learn new ones as well.
