On Monday, July 31st, the PVVFD received a call for a motor vehicle accident on Oscawana Lake Road. Upon arrival, it was found to be electric power wires down on Oscawana and Church, caused when a large container truck accidentally struck a utility pole. It appears the container caught the overhead wires while it was being offloaded, which brought down two pole tops and left wires in the road. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Structure Fire - Oscawana Lake Road

On Monday July 24th, the PVVFD was dispatched to a structure fire on Oscawana Lake Road at 18:00 hours. The fire started in the garage of a single family residence and was quickly brought under control by the immediate actions of the firefighters. Thank you to all the members who responded as well as our mutual aid departments and the Fire Investigation Team.

On Tuesday, July 18th, PVVFD held one of the two annual Blood Drives. Blood supplies are low in the summer months, however, the community and department members came to support the event with 50 pints collected - great job.

On Monday night at 21:06 - PVVFD responded to a call on Canopus Hollow Road and Bell Hollow Road for Wires Down. No reported injuries and all returned to their respective stations without further incident.
