Memorial Day Services

On Monday, May 27th - Putnam Valley Vol. Fire Department, along with the Town of Putnam Valley, held their annual Memorial Day Services. Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day honors and mourns the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Saturday - May 18th - PVVFD - A Night of Fun at Spins Hudson

On Saturday, May 18th - members from PVVFD got together for a night of fun at Spins Hudson. It was a great turn out and there was lots of fun watching folks do their best at axe throwing. We definitely had some riggers (LOL), and newbies as well. A good time was had by all and great job by the activities committee for setting up this event.

All Day at the Training Center

On Sunday, April 28th - Putnam Valley Vol. Fire Department, held their "all day" training." This is where the members practice their victim search skills within the smoke-filled building, water source setup for pumping and hose advancement into the building, using the Putnam County Training Center. It was a learning experience for some and the opportunity to hone existing skills for others.

PVFD Responds to Vehicle Fire

Financial Secretary Lois Rizzi, March 26

On Monday, March 25th at approximately 5pm, a call came over for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, a landscaping box truck and equipment was fully involved. The crew worked quickly extinguishing the fire, along with pulling out all the equipment in the truck; lawn mower, leaf blower, shelving and other items.
