Update: Putnam Valley Fire Department Blood Drive - May 25th
Financial Secretary Lois Rizzi, May 26
Thank you to all who came out on May 25th to support the PVFD Blood Drive. 105 pints of much needed blood was collected for the New York Blood Center. There was 83 pints of whole blood and 22 double red blood cell pints.
Great job by the Blood Drive committee, cooking crew and those who donated and helped throughout the event, which ran from 9am to 7pm.... (Full Story & Photos)

Firefighters complete All Day Training
1st Assistant Chief Vito Rizzi, May 10
On April 23 the members of the Putnam Valley Fire Department participated in an all day training exercise at the Putnam County Fire Training Center. Personal were provided with sessions including hose line advancement, search and rescue, roof ventilation and water supply sourcing.
Training is an ongoing process in the PVFD, as the saying goes “you can’t train too hard for a job that can kill you”!

Congratulations to the graduates of FF1 Exterior & Interior Training

On Thursday, March 2nd, 4 members of the Putnam Valley Fire Department, graduated from BEFO & Interior FF-1 Training. Their training consisted of many hours of both classroom and practical training required to become NYS Certified Firefighters. Successfully completing the Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations W/HMFRO Amy E. Cargain Dino Fiorentino
